A review of the September issue of Jump SQ, to be released on August 4, confirmed that the 15th volume of To LOVE-Ru Darkness will bundle a new OVA, to be published on January 4th. As close encounters of the twisted kind begin to intensify between the citizens of planet Develuke (represented primarily by the female members of the royal family) and Earth's inhabitants (represented primarily by one very tired Rito Yuki), the situation spirals much more out of control. When junior princesses Nana and Momo went to Earth School where big sister LaLa may (theoretically) keep an eye on them, things Would be sailing smoothly. According to an interview with Gosho Aoyama, Kaitou Kid and Vincent van Gogh's artworks feature heavily in the film. At the end of Dimensional Sniper, the teaser preview contained references to the "Sunflowers" sequence of van Gogh.

The Earth has built a mechanism of protection against massive meteorites going on a collision course with it. This security system consists of the Comet Blasters, which are used as the 1st line of defense in many space stations, using nuclear warheads fired by spacecraft. The 2nd line of protection consists of the Meteor Sweepers firing airbases from the ground using hypersonic planes and special missiles to tackle the ensuing blasts debris. Mikaze is a troubled girl who is a trainee pilot for a team of Meteor Sweeper who dreams of being a famous Comet Blaster carrier.
Stratos 4 revolves around the struggles of Mikaze and her teammates in becoming actual pilots, as the Earth faces the threats coming from space.

In the spooner world, sorcerers, who are the aristocrats of the world, have started to misuse their powers.
