The tale takes place in Ert;Aria, a trading city. Leicester Maycraft is an object designer who belongs to a "Oasis" explorer guild. One night, he and his friends are at a party to watch a meteor crash on a chapel's roof. They are grazed by one meteor and strike the chapel steeple. He finds a hidden room there, and a sleeping girl. The girl wakes up and says "You have to be my dad! "The meeting with the enigmatic girl takes Leicester to an exciting adventure.

One day, Amu meets a super-peppy transfer student named Hiiragi Rikka at school at Seiyo Academy Elementary School. She can not only see Guardian Heroes, but she also appears to have several other, enigmatic abilities. She's awestruck when she sees the work Amu and the other Guardians are doing at school.Every 24-25 minute episode consists of a series of approximately totaling variety show style shorts (including Shugo Chara! Pucchi Puchi). 9-10 minutes, accompanied by Shugo Chara's famous 11-12 minute animation!!! Dokki Doki which is the actual season 2 continuation and comes with an opening sequence of its own.
The remaining time is filled by live action padding in each segment, and rounded off at the beginning and end of the episode with the opening / end themes.

Now Utau has left Easter and resumed her vocal career, while Ikuto remains at Easter. Lulu, hires a new character to replace Utau Easter. Lulu has the ability to build eggs with question marks, rather than x-eggs. In this season, more so than in the first season, we start seeing all the love interests. Tadase and Amu now appear to be a couple, but they have their issue, particularly when Amu begins to hide Ikuto in her room. She lies about it to Tadase, her family and all the Guardians, which eventually creates more issues than she expected. Easter also has a new plan to keep Ikuto under power. With his guitar Easter guides Ikuto, turning him into Death Rebel.
